Do you watch Science Fiction movies ? Have you noticed all the bleeps and blips that computers make in the movies? Sometimes it’s odd. But It is always be a fun way to use a computer.  There are sounds everywhere. Whatever you do you will here a sound effect. If you ever wanted to add Hollywood-style sound to your personal computer, this is the right article you must read. In this post I have mentioned two ways to Make Your Computer Sounds Like Computers in Movies.

CSI – Computer Sounds Integration

CSI is a nice sound effects library that helps you to make your computer a super geeky machine. This allows you to add a sound effects to almost every action you make in your computer. Such as minimize, maximize windows, open something, close something, pop up context menu and other stuff like that. Download the zip file from the link given bellow and follow up the steps for the rest.

1. Download the CSISounds.zip file


2. Extract the CSI folder as a subfolder in your C:\Windows\Media folder.
3. Double click the “CSI Sound Scheme.reg” registry file and import the CSI registry settings

4. Open Control Panel and go to the Sound applet

5. Choose CSI as your sound scheme
If your Windows folder is not C:\Windows, open the reg file in a text editor and do a global replace of “C:\\Windows” with the appropriate path to your Windows folder. Be sure to include the double backslashes.


Now you can enjoy the new voice of your computer. When you get bored with those existing sounds visit this page and download a new set of sounds. You will able to use those new sounds by carefully replacing the sound files in  C:\Windows\Media\CSI.
This method is working with all varieties of Windows including Windows XP, Vista and 7.
